"The journey of thousand miles begins with one step"

I am training for the ING Marathon in Atlanta on March 29, 2009 to raise money for the medical expenses of Madison Faith. I'm giving back and you can too!
Madison was born at only 5lbs and already in congestive heart failure. At three-weeks old, she had her first open-heart surgery, to repair 4 defects. Her second open-heart surgery was over her fourth birthday. In the years between, she has been in the hospital almost as much as she has been home. Her syndrome called DiGeorge, has left her in very fragile medical state with a barely functioning immune and GI system along with many organs in need of constant attention, rehab or repair.
Her spirit has carried her through more than anyone should ever have to face. With perseverance, will and determination, she carries on day after day, surgery after surgery always looking for a brighter day. Madison is a beautiful, bright and happy child and is astounding that she is still with us.
My goal is to help her family offer Madison a better quality of life and hopefully a much longer one. Make a Donation Today! Your donation is tax deductible.
Support Carolina for the ING Marathon! All donations go directly to Madison's fund. |
